Request for Proposals for Master Lessee
The Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) issues this Request for Proposals (RFP) for a long-term master lease of the Transbay Transit Center. The TJPA welcomes teams with expertise in managing large-scale, mixed-use transportation facilities; developing, leasing, and managing local and destination-oriented retail; and designing and delivering integrated promotional platforms to submit responses. The selected master lessee will have the opportunity to:
- Program, lease, and manage approximately 103,000 square feet of commercial space to serve a rapidly growing 24-hour neighborhood in the heart of downtown San Francisco.
- Create a cohesive promotional platform to be deployed across a variety of assets throughout the Transit Center and generate revenue through advertising, sponsorship, naming rights agreements, and promotional events.
- Program a robust calendar of events within areas of the Transit Center including the Rooftop Park.
- Manage and carry out a maintenance program for all spaces and systems associated with the Transit Center.
The TJPA invites qualified firms or teams to participate in this exciting opportunity to program and manage one of the leading multi-modal transit facilities in the nation.
A pre-proposal conference and site tour was held at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the TJPA offices, located at 201 Mission Street, Suite 2100, San Francisco, CA 94105.
Questions must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, June 3, 2016. All questions must be submitted via email to the following address: email@example.com.
Responses to all questions will be posted in batches on the TJPA’s website through June 10, 2016.
Proposals must be received by the TJPA no later than 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, June 17, 2016. Respondents are required to submit five bound originals and one electronic version (on a USB drive) of their response to the TJPA at the following address:

Reponses to this RFP that are not received by the time and date specified, do not contain all the required information and completed forms, or do not meet all minimum qualifications shall be deemed non-responsive and rejected without consideration.
